Meal times are a very important part of life at Thornfield. Our newly redecorated bistro style dining room is spacious, airy and light and provides a perfect environment to enjoy a satisfying and nourishing meal. Residents are also able to have meals in their rooms if they prefer.

Thornfield has two experienced chefs who offer a wide range of balanced, wholesome dishes on our daily menu prepared from fresh local produce wherever possible.

We have introduced a sweet trolley, both at lunch and supper time, which is proving to be very popular.  Our residents are able to choose from our five different daily desserts or a cheese board.  Wine is also served with lunch.

Our chefs spend time each day with individual residents allowing them time to choose their menu for the day. Particular care is taken with any residents suffering from dietry problems and for those who have difficulty in swallowing.

Afternoon tea is served each day with a homemade cake of the day, and snacks and hot and cold drinks are available throughout the day and night. Family and friends are always welcome to join us for refreshments or a meal.
