Our Care Homes
Cannon Care Homes offers the highest quality homes providing specialist care for all senior citizens. This ranges from pure residential care, to nursing and specialist dementia care, as well as respite care and convalescence for short periods of time. We can also provide day care for anyone who would like to enjoy the benefit of the home without the need to stay over. This can be especially helpful for a relative who is caring for someone fulltime.
All our staff are trained to the highest possible standards, undergoing training courses, to ensure the care provided is not only expert and up to date with the latest research but is also sympathetic and tailored to each of our residents specific needs.
The environment of our homes is specifically designed to ensure as homely and comfortable an atmosphere as possible. In addition all our homes provide safe relaxing seating areas in their well maintained gardens for our residents to enjoy.
Our fees cover full board and 24 hour care. Each home manager can provide full details about the terms and conditions of the residents stay. They can also explain the formal procedure for making complaints and provide our latest inspection report along with the home’s statement of purpose, detailing the summary of services and facilities offered.
In 2009, Cannon Care Homes began a working relationship with Bradford University starting with a specific project at Thornfield. Paul Edwards, Head of Training and Practice Development of the Bradford University Dementia Group has written;
"Over the last year Bradford University Dementia Group, School of Health Studies at the University of Bradford has had the privilege of supporting the developments of Thornfield Care Home. The Home has developed its care staff to understand the needs of its residents and provide services that enrich a persons' quality of life. The Home has made remarkable progress over the year and Thornfield is soundly on a path to develop excellence across its service. The staff team and management are committed to continually develop the quality of care and ensure that people are treated as unique individuals with a full life still to lead.
Thornfield is on a journey to provide better care and that is to be applauded."
